InterCity Bus departure from Queenstown at 8:05 AM for Lake Tekapo.
This drive route was fantastic,
looked magnificent scenery from the bus window.

| bus stopped at Cromwell. I got some kiwifruits at a store. |

| stopped at Tarras,looked a merino shop. |

| I found this Lupins seeds. I wanted to buy and take some home if I didn't visit Australia after NZ trip. |

| stopped at Omarama, this town is famous for a sheep named Shrek. |

| Yes,I have seen this sheep on Japanese TV before. |

| stopped at Twizel. Twizel is an alpine village situated in the Mackenzie District in the South Island of New Zealand and the closest town to Aoraki/ Mount Cook and the Tasman Glacier. |

| Accommodation for 4 nights stay the Godley Hotel , Lake Tekapo very good location,it was next to the star watching tour company. |
famous Japanese Restaurant ''Kohan'' had a Salmon Don(Bowl) for Lunch. $19 , taste very good.

| At Lake Tekapo 23 Nov 2014. Lupins were so beautiful. They have many colours but I heard that they are not wild flowers, they are regarded as weeds in NZ. |

at 22:30, on the way to Mt. John University Observatory for star watching tour by group car.
this is the main reason to come to Lake Tekapo and stay for 4 nights. I could choose the perfect night for stars.I didn't take photos of stars though I was so happy to watch countless stars with the naked eye. |
Day 16

weather changed so quick in Lake Tekapo. It was so lucky I went to the star watching tour last night.
the day was cloudy with rain at times and not suitable for star watching.
It was a bit cold though I went for walk to the Pines Beach Walk .

| bird watching my first time doing like this alone in the middle of quiet tideland. I could hear only birds sound. I think I can understand a bit why some people go out for bird watching. |
